The amount of data in NN Finance and Risk is vast and incresing exponentially. These big, fast growing, volumes of data can only be used effectively when the data can be transformed into information, for which it needs to be correct, accurate, appropriate, complete, on time and consistent. That is why we are hiring Medior / Senior Data Engineer in Prague now.

Your impact at NN

The mission you will join is all about the development of a standardized data platform for Finance and Risk departments, with ready-to-use reporting and analysis data, which will provide us one single source of truth. This tool is developed on NN Microsoft Azure Cloud broader platform.

The tasks you will perform

  • Develop and maintain the data platform architecture itself.

  • Manage data ingestion, transformation and loading for Finance and Risk analytics.

  • Develop, maintain, and test CI/CD pipelines to enhance overall automation processes.

  • Communicate with all necessary technical and non-technical international stakeholders.

  • Collaborate, communicate, and share knowledge with other data colleagues to enhance and create new data products and tools within NN.

The knowledge and experience you bring

  • A completed Master’s degree.

  • You are proficient in Azure and its data services tools, and Databricks, as well as Python.

  • Working in Agile environment within a corporate company, is nothing new to you.

  • You are comfortable managing end-to-end data workflows, from ingestion to loading, and have hands-on experience with building and maintaining data pipelines.

  • Communication with various technical and non-technical stakeholders in English comes naturally to you.

  • Familiarity with the financial industry is a plus, and hands-on experience is even better.

How we hire

After receiving your application, including your CV in English with contact details (phone number and email address), Petra (Talent Acquisition Partner) will review it. If you meet the criteria for the position, Petra will give you a short phone call to discuss the basic details of the role, your previous work experience, and your current expectations for a new position. If you do not meet the criteria, we will still provide feedback via email.

The selection process typically consists of two rounds, usually held online. If an in-person interview is required, we will inform you in advance. In the first round, you will meet Petra and Marian (Data and BI Engineering Team Lead). In the second round, you will meet relevant stakeholders, often our colleagues from the Netherlands, where our headquarters is located.
