We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior VMWare DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. In this role, you will ensure that our virtualized environments are scalable, reliable, and performing optimally. You will play a key part in maintaining the performance, security, and availability of our IT infrastructure.
You will be part of a team of approx. 15 engineers responsible for maintaining our IT infrastructure – mostly Linux, Windows and VMware related.

What are the tasks you will perform:
- Design, implement, and support the VMware landing zone using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and tools (e.g., Ansible, Python, Terraform, GitLab, etc.).
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the Ansible Automation Platform, VMware, and Aria Automation (VRA/VRO).
- Design and implement automation solutions to support organizational needs.
- Collaborate with other IT professionals to ensure seamless integration of VMware environments with other systems and applications.
- Contribute to the development of automation scripts and tools to streamline processes.
- Ensure all VMware environments adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements.
- Cooperate closely with vendors and Product Owners to solve or mitigate operational issues and provide input to architects for the VMware environment roadmap.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation, and provide training to junior engineers and support staff.
What we expect from you:
- University degree (Bachelor’s or higher) in a technical field.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Over 5 years of relevant experience in VMware engineering and DevOps practices.
- Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools (Ansible, Python, Terraform, GitLab, etc.).
- Experience with automation platforms and scripting.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
