What does your job as a Template Designer look like?
As a Template Designer within the Configuration Guild, you ensure the optimal adoption of the target system, Spectrum. Your work translates operational requirements into structured, maintainable, and scalable template solutions.
Your work as ensures that NN Belgium can adopt and optimize target systems efficiently, supporting business growth and customer satisfaction while minimizing the need for custom development.
These are your main responsibilities :
Identify and formalize operational requirements specific to the Belgian business unit, collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure template solutions align with business objectives. You challenge requirements to make them fit the current implementation of our system, as far as possible. You review the content and make suggestions on how it can be aligned with already existing templates.
Translate business needs into clear and structured documentation, on which the template design can be based.
Explore best practices and leverage existing system capabilities and existing template to optimize template usage, ensuring efficiency and compliance with NN Belgium’s standards.
Work closely with business teams and the IT Delivery Squad Inbound Outbound to validate configurations, support implementation, and maintain compliance with global and local standards.
Document implemented configurations and templates, ensuring effective knowledge transfer to end users and support teams.
Design, develop, and maintain templates for inbound and outbound customer communication, integrating with various systems and supporting the transition to unified tools.
Proactively detect and resolve issues, provide both temporary workarounds and structural solutions, and document procedures for future reference.
Follow up on infrastructure and security tasks, including Life Cycle Management activities, to ensure all templates and configurations meet NN Belgium’s security standards.

You have an experience in application development/template design, integration, and configuration management
You have a strong technical knowledge, including Windows development, security, and risk management
You have the ability to communicate clearly and adapt messaging for different audiences, including colleagues, management, and external partners
Quick learner, you are proactive in sharing knowledge and staying updated on industry trends
You are flexible and solution-oriented, able to manage incidents and think strategically for long-term improvements
You speak proficiency in English and Dutch or French
You have a strong understanding of security concepts and agile methodologies
You are a team player with a sense of ownership and a focus on business objectives
An experience in the life insurance sector is an asset
A knowledge of Engage One is a nice to have
