Start your engineering career in reliability, automation, and observability!

Are you at the beginning of your engineering journey and curious about how modern systems stay reliable, scalable, and easy to operate?
At NN, we’re looking for a Junior SRE Engineer who wants to learn, grow, and build strong foundations in observability, automation, and Site Reliability Engineering.

In this role, you’ll join our Reliability Enablement team and help engineering teams improve the reliability of their services. You won’t be expected to know everything from day one — what matters most is your curiosity, willingness to learn, and interest in technology. You’ll work with experienced mentors, including colleagues from the Netherlands, who will help you grow step by step.

What you’ll do

  • Build and improve dashboards, alerts, logs, and health checks that help teams keep services reliable.

  • Create and enhance scripts, templates, and automation that make engineering work easier and faster.

  • Support the creation of “Golden Paths” — simple, reusable best-practice solutions for engineering teams.

  • Help prepare onboarding guides, training materials, and documentation that make knowledge sharing easier.

  • Assist teams with reliability checks and evidence for Foundation and Bronze Reliability Levels.

  • Support monitoring setup and help with the first steps in SLO tracking.

What we’re looking for

  • You have a university degree in IT, Engineering, or a related field.

  • You have 0-2 years of experience, and internships, school projects, or part-time technical roles absolutely count.

  • You are familiar with Linux, Git, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.

  • You have basic scripting skills in Python or Bash.

  • You understand the basics of monitoring or observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or Datadog.

  • You can explain technical topics clearly and simply, and your English is at C1 level.

  • You’re curious, structured, eager to learn, and not afraid to ask questions.

Nice to have - but not a dealbreaker

  • Some exposure to Kubernetes, CI/CD, or Terraform.

  • An interest in platform engineering, reliability, or developer experience.

Why this role is a great fit for a junior engineer

  • You’ll learn from experienced engineers and mentors.

  • You’ll get hands-on experience with modern cloud, automation, and observability tools.

  • You’ll work on real engineering challenges from the start.

  • You’ll have a clear development path toward a Medior SRE Engineer role.

  • You’ll join a team where learning, asking questions, and continuous improvement are part of everyday work.

What we offer

  • A clear growth path toward a Medior SRE role.

  • We work hybrid - mostly from home, with at least one team day in the office each week, and you’ll get a monthly contribution for your home office expenses

  • Flexi Time Off - paid vacation days beyond the usual, as long as it works for your manager and team.

  • Company-paid training and certifications.

  • A meal allowance and up to 20,000 CZK in Cafeteria benefits.

  • A MultiSport card option, pension contributions, and a discount on life insurance.

  • A referral bonus of up to 60,000 CZK for recommending new colleagues.

  • A business laptop and an iPhone with a paid O2 plan.

How we hire

Once we receive your application in English, we’ll review it carefully. If your profile matches the role, Veronika, our Talent Acquisition Specialist, will get in touch with you. The hiring process usually consists of two rounds. First, you’ll have an initial interview with HR and the hiring manager, where we’ll talk about the role, the team, and your experience. If that goes well, you’ll move on to the second round with the team from the Netherlands, which will be more technical and go into more detail. If everything clicks and we’re both happy, we can shake on it and move forward! 😊

At NN, we believe our strength lies in embracing the full spectrum of humanity. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is embedded in our culture which is guided by our values — care, clear, commit — and supports us in fostering a workplace where everyone feels welcome, respected, and proud to work.
